Television actor Pearl V Puri was arrested on June 4 under the POSCO act by Vasai’s Waliv police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl. After his arrest, many of his friends and colleagues came out in support of Pearl, claiming that he was innocent and that he was wrongly accused. Yesterday, SpotboyE reported that Pearl has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court. Pearl’s Naagin 3 co-star Karishma Tanna, who was among those actors who extended their support to Pearl, has now reacted to news of his bail.
Karishma Tanna was among the first few people who extended their support to Pearl on social media. Yesterday, while reacting to the news of his bail, Karishma Tanna told Pinkvilla that he had to get bail and claimed that there was no truth to the accusations. “It feels great, and finally I would just say Satyameva Jayate because there is no truth to this, so he had to get bail,” she said. She was also asked whether she spoke to Pearl after he was granted bail, Karishma said, “No, it's in the process. It will happen in the evening.”
Krystle D’Souza, when asked by the paparazzi about Pearl’s bail, said, “Achhi baat hai, Im very happy ki usko bail mila hai. Ab dekhte hain ki court kya decide karta hai, procedure kya hota hai, lekin abhi ke liye wo bahar hai toh bahot achha hai.” Nia Sharma was also spotted by the paparazzi, and she said that she doesn’t want to claim who is right or who is wrong, but she will stand with what is right.
Meanwhile, Divya Khosla Kumar who co-starred with actor Pearl V Puri in her song 'Teri Aankhon Mein', was delighted to find out that Pearl has been granted bail. She took to her Instagram story, and wrote, “Bail Granted @pearlvpuri Congratulations to all the various fan clubs for the immense support Have great faith on our judiciary that the entire truth will come out v soon Satyameva Jayate”.
After Pearl’s arrest, Ekta Kapoor had claimed that the survivor's mother had told her that Pearl Puri was innocent. An audiotape of Ekta Kapoor's conversation with the victim's mother went viral on the Internet where she could be heard urging the mother to speak on the matter.
